FUNDRAISING SUCCESS...
Hot on the heals of our successful Core funding bids to The Lottery and the Rausing Trust, we are very excited to have received
£3,000 from The Radcliffe Trust

These funds will continue music therapy for children at Rosewood FreeSchool, Southampton.

The children are mostly unable to speak, yet even those most severely restricted by their condition can make sounds. Given the appropriate support, the children can communicate, express their needs and wishes, interact with others, and become integrated into their social world. For the most severely disabled child, music therapy is the only way in to their isolated world.

The skilled music therapist, trained to listen deeply and to respond supportively can establish a relationship where communication is enabled and personal growth is possible. The music therapist, in conjunction with the teachers and parents of these most disadvantaged children, helps each child move forward developmentally and personally, towards their potential. "The Rosewood team want to reach the children at the school through whatever means is effective, and are keen for music therapy to be available to those who could gain most from it."

CHARITY NEWS...

And Now They are 4!
Jordan Mullineaux joins Key Changes Trustees.

Jordan.jpg

Hello! My name is Jordan Mullineaux and I am an independent theatre/opera producer, consultant and publicist working within the arts and creative industries. I am a proud Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and have great passion for arts organisations and charities with social impact ethos' around equality and diversity primarily focusing on making arts accessible to all.
I have extensive experience working on high profile events and theatrical experiences with organisations that Include Pegasus Opera Company, Kensington Palace, DV8, Complicite, KTM Arts, Ovalhouse Theatre, War Child, Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and the Barbican. I am currently the Producer at Pegasus Opera Company in London, an opera company that strives to break down the elitist perceptions of opera, make opera accessible to all and champion artists and creatives of black and Asian heritage.

Music has been a huge part of my life from singing to playing various instruments, composing and commissioning music projects. I am very excited to take on this role with Key Changes and am keen to offer my experience in fundraising and utilising the integral networking skills of a producer to facilitate relationships with potential funders, partners and collaborators and supporting the branding and marketing strategy for Key Changes to become a recognised trailblazing organisation for Music Therapy. With the world currently in a global pandemic, more so than ever people are relying on the arts to support their mental health so I couldn't be more pleased to work with an organisation that is using music in such a way to support the health and wellbeing of people of all ages across the country at this most unprecedented and vulnerable time.
